Lil Wayne’s $20M Lawsuit Against Former Attorney Knocked Down
Litigation Partner John B. Harris is quoted on a recent ruling by the New York state appeals court that Lil Wayne cannot move forward with his $20 million lawsuit against his former longtime lawyer, Ronald Sweeney. John is quoted saying, “We’re pleased that the appellate court rejected Lil Wayne’s cynical attempt to avoid paying Ronald Sweeney for the work that Mr. Sweeney did for him. Mr. Sweeney will vigorously pursue his claims for payment and require Lil Wayne to appear in court to answer for his actions.”
The news was covered by various media outlets including AllHipHop, HipHopDX, Law360, The New York Law Journal, and Yahoo News. Along with John, Khasim Lockhart and Edward H. Rosenthal were part of the Frankfurt Kurnit team representing Ronald Sweeney.
